About the site
Why I built TheHoboKingdom.
It began as somewhere to keep my game notes. It grew into a home for the projects I could no longer sensibly leave scattered through folders and old conversations.
What belongs here
I publish things I expect to need again: guides, project records, modpack instructions, printable handouts, and the history behind ongoing builds.
How material is organised
Projects are grouped by game. Guides keep the same address and show when they were last updated. Downloads are kept away from drafts so there is no mistaking an experiment for a finished release.
What the labels mean
- Official rule: taken from the named official manual or documentation.
- Tested result: reproduced or checked in the version shown on the page.
- Strategy: my interpretation or recommendation, not a rule from the manual.
- Modded: belongs to a named mod and may not apply to an unmodded game.
- Open research: there is evidence, but I do not consider the question settled.
- Playtest: usable now, but still expected to change.
Writing voice
I use first person when I am explaining why I made something, and “we” for games shared with friends. Rules and reference pages stay neutral. If I am not certain about a claim, I say so.
Built in the open
The site runs on GitHub Pages. Its source and change history are public in the TheHoboKingdom repository.
