Three-player survival record

Vintage Story

This is the record for our three-player world: who handles what, how far we reached, which mods we used, and what needs fixing before we try again.

The role split

Smith

Handles copper, tools, moulds, metalworking, and the jobs that move the whole group into better equipment.

Farmer

Builds the food supply, expands the crops, manages storage, and keeps us from living on whatever happens to be nearby.

Blackguard

Handles dangerous exploration, defence, hunting, and the fighting that gives the other two roles time to develop the settlement.

Latest recorded checkpoint

The first trial reached the pottery age in roughly an hour and a half. A cellar and storage area were established, with four crocks, four cooking pots, four bowls, fired pick and hammer moulds, and two crucibles recorded. Three storage vessels remained an early target.

Food was expected to last about eight days. Copper was the immediate bottleneck, with the group around halfway to the forty nuggets needed for the first proper tool cycle and panning continuing at night.

Mod record

We still need to freeze the complete manifest before calling this a working pack. The record already includes Wild Farming Revival, Primitive Survival, A Culinary Artillery, Ancient Tools, VSImGui, Overhaul Lib, JSON Patches Lib, and the shader stack.

Dependency note: VSImGui 1.2.7 was identified as a required dependency during the earlier setup. Ancient Tools and A Culinary Artillery also appeared in crash reports and need exact version checks before the next public manifest.

Working records

Before the next world

  1. Freeze the exact game version, mod versions, dependencies, and load order.
  2. Write one joining guide covering installation, the server address method, and the first successful connection.
  3. Record confirmed crash fixes separately from guesses and abandoned attempts.
  4. Keep a shared progression checklist for food security, copper, tools, storage, and the next technological jump.
  5. Package the tested mod set only after every player can join the same world.
